Let other Canadians and people around the world know about Acts of Compassion that you have offered, or have received. You can upload a photo and share your story.

And what does "Compassion" mean to you? Everyone has a different idea of what "Compassion" is - for themselves and for others. This is where you have an opportunity to let others know how you see, express and feel compassion in your life and the lives of others.

To share your acts of compassion or what "compassion" means to you, become a member first. It is free and all that is required is your name and email address. You are also welcome to upload a photo of yourself and build your profile. We collect this information to enable us to contact you with events that are coming up and it is not shared with any other person or organization.

Once you are a member, to share an act of compassion - whether given or received - click on "my acts", located on your profile at the top right hand of the website.

Click on "Meaning of Compassion" to share your ideas of how you would define "Compassion" or share the wisdom of others who have expressed "Compassion" in a way that inspires you.

There is also a way to share your experiences with giving and receiving compassion via iPhone or iPad with the "Compassion" App, launched at the Canadian iTunes store in 2011. It is free and fun, and once loaded onto your Apple smart devices, enables you to share your stories and acts of compassion, pinpoint the location of the act of compassion, as well as load up a photograph.

You can also learn about the Charter for Compassion, affirm the Charter if you haven't already, see others within range of your smart device who have also shared acts of compassion, are hosting an upcoming compassion event, or is a company that supports Canadians For Compassion and compassionistos/as like you.

Whenever you post an act of compassion, it streams the information - live - to the Canadians For Compassion website at www.canadians4compassion.org. Your location "pin" will join others who have also shared acts of compassion recently.

The Canadians For Compassion YouTube channel has a video to demonstrate the "Compassion" App's capabilities at: http://youtu.be/UqNtm1l88fU
