Through www.canadians4compassion.org, the official campaign website, Canadians For Compassion also pledges to feature and promote other Canadians, as individuals or representative of organizations and corporations who promote or commit to compassion in action throughout Canada and the rest of the world. One of those initiatives is the Children's Charter For Compassion, founded and created by Erin Henry of Toronto. Since it's creation, as well as the development of Workbooks by Erin, the Children's Charter for Compassion has been endorsed by Karen Armstrong and the Fetzer Institute. In 2010, the Children's Charter was featured at the Festival of World Cultures in Ireland, as well as translated into Dutch and launched at a TEDxYouth event in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In Canada, Children's Charter creator, Erin Henry, introduced the Children's Charter at TEDxKids@TheHill in Ottawa. Canadians For Compassion has pledged to work with Erin, promoting her work to educators and researchers in early childhood learning, as well as non-profit organizations with a focus on heart-mind education of young people in Canada and throughout the world. With outstanding support of the Children's Charter, curriculum and teaching aids are available and under development to support teachers and parents to teach young people how to be and act in a compassionate way, as between themselves and all people in Canada and around the world. More information about the Children's Charter for Compassion is available on this website or at www.childrenscharterforcompassion.com.
